E-commerce has been growing steadily into one of the most important sales channels for companies over the past few decades. Besides national online retail, in particular cross-border e-commerce is on the rise globally. However, e-commerce growth relies on efficient logistics systems to succeed. The Master’s program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) offers you a unique insight into both industries and into both the design and functioning of their interplay.

Program Emphasis

The Master’s program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) provides you with a very solid foundation in business administration and economics. On top of that, you will study the e-commerce and logistics industry in depth. Additionally, you will expand your intercultural and language skills, round out your profile via an elective module, and have the opportunity to do an internship or spend a semester abroad. You will study the e-commerce and logistics industry in a structured way (M-A-P-S)

  • Markets:In your first semester, the e-commerce and logistics industry will be introduced in general.
  • Application: Your second semester will be devoted to application, by focusing on the necessary IT solutions that an e-commerce player needs to employ as well as on e-commerce operations management in practice, that is warehousing, fulfillment, and (parcel) delivery.
  • Progress: Building on these basics for a company to function, the third semester will deep-dive into how to ensure progress in e-commerce businesses by emphasizing portfolio design and digital channel management as well as strategic sourcing.
  • Strengthen:Your program will end with learning on how to strengthen online retail and supply chain management by shedding light on digital marketing management and service relationships.
In addition to compulsory modules, the Master’s program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) offers you the opportunity to pursue your personal interests and develop your professional profile. In the third semester, you can choose an elective module from one of the following topics:

  • Corporate Finance
  • Sustainability Management & CSR in a Global Context
  • Consumer Behavior & Psychology
  • Strategic Marketing & Brand Management
Alternatively, you can choose to complete an internship instead of an elective module or opt for a semester abroad.

Requirements / Application

To be admitted to the Master’s study program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) at Hochschule Fresenius, you need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 180 credit points.
  • At least 60 credit points in business or economics during your Bachelor's studies.
  • Proficiency in English equivalent to Level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
If you haven't completed your Bachelor’s yet, you can begin your Master’s while wrapping up your Bachelor’s, provided you've attained at least 80 percent of the credit points by enrollment.
